My Father, the Radio Astronomer
My father was one a kind. I know millions of people feel the same way, but with a father that was a radio astronomer, an intrepid explorer and my biggest fan; it's hard to feel any other way. He was so ahead his time in every way. Although the world will remember him for work on quasars (do a Google Search on William A. Dent, Radio Astronomy and you will find he he is semi-famous in the world of physics and astronomy), I will remember him most for being both caring and daring. His biggest impact on my life, however, will be his undying support and how he helped me see the world without prejudices. I've been told that I'm adventurous, goal-minded and and the least judgemental person you will ever meet.

The Power of Unconditional Love
I always listened to my aunt; I did better than listen - I internalized what she had to say. I do remember her telling me that when I found a guy that I could go on vacation with, where we just sat around enjoying the ocean, instead of flying over it, swimming through it, or any other stresslaxing activity, then I had found the one. I think I stumbled into it with one of my best guy friends. As he was a best friend first, during our friendship, I have flourished as a writer and I've decided I'm a late bloomer - I'm coming into my own at the age of 51. I couldn't have done it without the unconditional love I received from my parents, children and friends.

Do you believe in reincarnation? I do - here are 10 qualities to look for.
Reincarnation literally translated means to become flesh again. Reincarnation is a very popular belief in other countries and religions, but due to the grip of Christianity here in the United States, it isn't so much on this side of the globe. We don't know what happens when we die, so why is believing in reincarnation a sin? or why will it lead you to hell? The body loses 21 grams when it dies - is that the weight of the soul? Doesn't that soul have to go to heaven, hell, or back to Earth in the form of reincarnation? Reincarnation is a very common component of Hinduism. According to Hinduism, these are the ten basic signs that you have been reincarnated.

Its the End of the World as we know it
Its the end of the world as we know it, or at the very least history is repeating itself. The last ten years have shown me that we have relived the 1920's. Previous to the Great Depression, we had the Spanish Flu pandemic, World War I, the economic expansion of the 1920's, and new technology. The 1920's ended with a terrible President, a market crash, and then the Grapes of Wrath (a massive food shortage).

I Don't Need Your Civil War
Have you ever been in a relationship that ends with the person bringing out the worst in you? Where are the relationships that bring out the best in you? What if I told you that being attracted to emotionally unavailable men is actually a reflection of how emotionally unavailable you are? You may be addicted to work, school, or living vicariously through your children. As a result, your partner gets treated like a Gucci Purse and is only taken out for special occasions. Getting treated like a Gucci Purse will lead to resentment and anger and that is surely not a recipe for a healthy relationship. Stir in a lack of self-care and a mental illness and your relationship is a bomb waiting to explode. My own brain is going through a civil war; I don't need your civil war when I have my own battles at work and home.

Don't Bring a U-Haul to the Third Date
What a whirlwind of a week it's been and it's only Tuesday. I fooled around and fell in love. I'd like to say it's been fun, but the fun only lasted about twenty minutes. Why was the fun so short? Because mentally I brought the u-haul to the third date, and once my mental u-haul was in the driveway, I felt like my brain came unscrewed.

Rich Privilege
All that money looks good, doesn't it? It would solve almost of your problems, but how do you get more of it, in the short term and the long-term? What steps can you take today, to make it a better tomorrow? That is the goal isn't it - to make money now, so that you have some down the road in case of illness, or just garden variety burnout.

Plaid Boots and Light Forgery. Top Story - April 2022.
I find myself waiting in a line to visit my boyfriend in prison. That very sentence makes me cringe, but the truth is I got in way over my head with this boyfriend. Truth be told I'm only talking to him because he supplied me with free Xanax. Now I'm returning the favor. I have drugs smuggled into my pants. I have an honest girl next door look, plus I'm a teacher. I'm also a hardened criminal.

My Brain is Broken
Having unipolar mania is quite a different experience that most people can't relate to. No matter how bad my reality is, I feel I live a utopian existence. I have a load of credit card debt, many, many, isolated friends that I refer to as the island of misfit toys, and a below average wage earning job, that in many ways is demeaning to me, but I love every minute of life.

How to Make Him Obsessed with You
After spending my life thinking I need a man to feel fulfilled, I am taking time for myself now. Yes I have an unboyfriend, but he is really no more than my new favorite thing. As a friend of mine would say, I'm into something new every week. I'm a little extra, and I invented the side conversation. I am excited about seeing my unboyfriend today, but I've decided I just have a crush on him. I've been infatuated at times, but I know for me that love doesn't last. I'm not sure it lasts for anybody.
