Chills & Chocolate
It was 3:00 pm sharp on my wristwatch when I was let off from the campus. Walking back was beginning to be a difficult task, as the sun in the sky was hidden by the clouds. The warmth from the sun that I was used to enveloping me in a comforting hug was absent. The wind was picking up pace, causing my hair to hit my face violently. Fumbling with my bag, I managed to get out my emergency bobby pin pack and secured my hair with it. Now that my vision was no longer obscured by hair, I resumed my walk.

Childish Antics & Grandma's Amusement
Waking up with the sun shining brightly high in the sky brings me great comfort. Turning off my alarm, I stretched like a cat amidst the warmth of the cozy blankets. Pushing back the layers of blanket, I got up to get ready for the day.

Morning Library Disaster
The soft bell from my alarm echoed through the room, rousing me from my slumber and pulling me away from dreamland. Blinking, I slowly opened my eyes and got accustomed to the dimly lit room. Sitting up and stretching, I turned off the alarm, letting the comforter fall onto my lap. The chill of the room brought goosebumps to my skin. The sun was absent, and the sky was still dark with twinkling stars.

A Morning Immersed In the Magical World of Harry Potter
During this recovery period books are my best friends, so sitting on the couch with a steaming mug of freshly blended tea and a book in hand I was set for the morning atleast. The book was 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone', the debut novel in the seven-part Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. I loved it since childhood and still continue to do so, there are very few stories that are timeless and still interesting. No matter how many times I went through it, it never gets old.

Mom is Stubborn
It was a bright day with the sun high in the sky, and I was feeling a lot better, and my recovery was going smoothly. I decided to walk around and stretch my legs. Walking through the empty hallway, I peeked into my siblings' room from the ajar door and saw that they were still sick. Leaving them to their few moments of peaceful sleep, I headed to the kitchen.

A Precious Gift
The warm ray of sunlight hit my eyelid, causing me to clench my eyes in pain. Peeking open my eyes, I saw my room dusted in a bright, warm, golden glow. This was a scene that usually provided me with great comfort in the morning, but today it was a different story. The rays were hurting my eyes with a biting intensity, and the brightly lit room was not doing anything to ease my condition.

My Opinion on Harper Lee's Novel
With breakfast done, I went back to my room to get ready. Putting on the dress and tying my hair in a ponytail I was just about to grab my bag and go when my eyes fell on the little alarm clock on my bedside table. Seeing that I have ample time left to before my first lecture, I grabbed a thin novel to pass time.

The Little Shack. Top Story - December 2023.
It was a tiring day on campus. I couldn't even get a second to catch my breath. The autumn season was here, and it was getting chilly. The Pediatric Ward of our hospital was beginning to seem understaffed due to the increase in patients. The kids were coming in with common cold, cough, and pyrexia. Parents were distressed, and if one sibling got sick, the others followed. It was a hard time managing the patients and counseling the upset parents. I didn't even get a fifteen-minute break. My fellow classmates and I were running haywire to get everything done on time.

Sunrise & Sensations
Starting the day with a light jog plays a huge role in awakening your soul and charging your energy level. So, here I was in a pink tracksuit with my hair pinned back from my face, tiptoeing into the room beside the kitchen. I switched on the light but turned it dim. Pushing back the curtains, I saw it was still dark outside - the sun had yet to rise.

Deciding What to Do?
Lying on the couch trying to unwind from a stressful day at the campus. I thought what to do next, the little morning adventure came to the forefront of my mind. This morning on the way to the campus I took a detour to the dainty bookshop at the corner of the street, looking around I was lost because I didn't have a specific book in my mind, I think Mrs. Bing must have read my expression and recommended me a book assuring me I would like it. Asking her about it she told me the genre was fantasy and the rest is a surprise, giving her a smile I paid for it and told her I will be back with my own opinion about the book. Laughing she told me she would be glad to here that. I think now would be the time to read it and see what I think, grabbing my bag and pulling out the book I made myself comfortable and started reading. The book title is 'Where the Mountain Meets the Moon by Grace Lin'.

The Backyard Meditation
The seeping rays of sunlight bathed my room in a golden hue. My eyes twitched as the sun-rays fell on my eyelids, coaxing me from my deep slumber. Rubbing my eyes, I opened them to see the beauty of nature that had just illuminated my room. Pushing back the comforter and stretching my arms, I slipped my feet into the warm, cozy slippers and padded across the floor to the closet to get ready.
