Bangladesh, formally the People's Republic of Bangladesh is located in South Asia. With over 170 million people in an area of around 148,460 square kilometers, it is the eighth most populous country in the world. Bangladesh is a densely-populated Muslim majority nation with a vibrant culture. Bangladesh is bordered by India in the north, west, and east[4] with a southeast border next to Myanmar; also to the south lies the Bay of Bengal.
