She could hear the heavy thumps of footsteps that echoed in the otherwise empty street. The harsh breath of someone- clearly a man penetrating her subconsciousness. Her heartbeat in trepidation, even when she knew she could not be harmed- at least not in this world. The street lights flickered, casting an eerie glow over the lonely street before it eventually came to a stop.
