Abyssal Ascent (Part IV). Content Warning.
Ingvar lived by one very simple rule: your comrades are everything. This is as true in surviving piracy in space as it was for surviving a war. When things look tough it’s solidarity with your comrades and the trust that you’ll have each other’s back that gets you through the day. Originally he learned this ideal from Ramona herself, making it all the stranger to him, that she no longer seemed to pay the golden rule any heed. There was ample evidence that whatever lifeforms had taken over the station were alien, hostile, and operated with invasive intent. “Why does it feel like you don’t care if you live or die anymore, Mona?”
