Vikram
The 1986 Tamil film "Vikram" is a crime drama directed by Shankar and stars Kamal Haasan in the lead role. The film opens with a scene where a group of criminals led by a mastermind known as "The Baron" (played by Amrish Puri) is terrorizing the city. The police are unable to stop them, so they send in an undercover cop named Vikram (played by Kamal Haasan) to infiltrate the gang and gather evidence against them.
