The Timeless Train
I gasped for air as my body jolted upright. My eyes squinted from the harsh brightness that flickered rhythmically from the scenery outside. I balanced against the unstable motion to prop myself up between two seats off the cold aisle floor. I glared around the empty carriage, not a passenger to be seen. I was alone. I stumbled toward the corridor connection when I noticed my childhood teddy on one of the seats. A smile fought through my confusion; I hadn't seen Quincey in years. I embraced his rough fur and continued through the gangway connection.

An Angel, Mother & Muse
This is my open letter to the three people in my life who have helped shape me into the person I am today. Dear Nan, Thank you for adopting my mother. You always put everyone else's needs before your own, and I feel blessed that I was raised by you. I have so many wonderful childhood memories, and I'll never forget all you have done for me. You were so graceful and selfless; you were the picture-perfect role model of a loving, caring mother. Because of you, I can pass on your admirable traits to my own children. You always managed to show unwavering kindness to the world around you. Even though you're no longer here, you will always live on through the beautiful qualities you gave to me. Every time I aspire to be better, I ask myself, what you would have done. I hope you're proud of me; I miss you so much!

Cursed Existence
An eerie apparition crept into my peripheral vision. My rigid shoulders settled with dread. I forced my back against the bed head, wielding my weighted blanket for protection. The darkness from outside seeped into my room through the sheer curtains. Without the usual sound of my parents arguing, the silence deafened me. I should've gone to that stupid family dinner.

Drowned In The Underground
Blair drowned slowly; the murky water suffocated her as an unknown force dragged her deeper into the eerie abyss. The sinister energy wrapped itself around her, squeezing tighter as she ingested foreign particles. Her life slipped away; when a familiar embrace dragged her to the surface. Her best friend Quinton heaved her to the edge of the ill-lit poolside and attempted to resuscitate her; each compression starved him of hope. Quinton's guilt seized his existence; he was the one who had pressured Blair into this situation. Regret and anger burnt through his brain.
