Never Again
You used to be my favorite memory. A moment in time where I usually got lost in, with a coated key full of sadness to open the door. A flood of emotions would drown me every time, anywhere, while doing anything. It robbed me of my senses, consuming my lungs until breathing became painful.

Sofia: Part 3
Eddie Colon, the chief of police on the island, exited the interrogation room and Sofia braced herself for his infamous disapproving glare. He'd be smart to be nice to her. Considering the only reason he even had a job here was all her doing. He had an excellent arrest record in New York, which had housed most of the people on the island until the roads and the tarmac, and the houses were rebuilt. He made sure everyone had been accounted for and the ones who weren't he offered fundraisers to help with funeral costs. Eddie Colon was a patriot to the island, just like she was, despite them being on the opposite sides of the law.

Sofia: Part 2
Hurricane Maria had completely destroyed the island she called home five years ago. All of the hardworking people she grew up with, all of their homes and places of employment had been washed away. The elderly and the sick had gotten the biggest hit. All of their medical needs weren't met until it was too late. There were no incoming planes full of supplies coming to island due to the fact that there was no place for those planes to even land. For months, her people had gone hungry, with no power or any means of communication.

Sofia: Part 1
"Are you here to kill me, Sofia?" he asked, with his smug grin in tact and a gun aimed at her face. While the idea had crossed her mind, she couldn't afford to start a war on someone else's territory. Not yet at least. She needed to get her people back on their feet as soon as possible if she expected them to fight back against the impending enemies coming to claim their island. She warned them her coming back home wasn't a good idea. It would cause them to be an unnecessary target against their Caribbean neighbors, Haiti, Dominican Republic and the Virgin Islands. Sofia hadn't exactly left the best of impressions between their gang leaders before she got herself locked up for five years.

Love Shadows: Part 10 (The Ending)
Fifteen years ago.... Her Dad would've hated this. Everyone surrounding his casket, and even his fellow military buddies were in tears. He was a lighthearted, funny person, with the brightest smile she'd ever seen. He would've hated seeing how worked up everyone was over him dying. They should've been celebrating his legacy, not talking about how nothing would be the same without him.

Love Shadows: Part 9
A warm and soft touch pulled Lena away from her deep slumber. Her vision was out of focus, but her body was on high alert as her visitor began to caress the tender flesh between her thighs. She grew wet instantly, allowing herself to indulge in the dream her subconscious surrounded her with. The lights were still off and the blinds covered a good portion of light, but her internal clock told her it was already morning in the real world. Still, she swam in the darkness of her room and felt her body come alive as Quinn's hands continued their quest.

Love Shadows: Part 8
The late night summer breeze brushed Lena's face as soon as she exited Elle's car. The scent of pine trees and cherry blossoms enveloped her as she glanced at their surroundings. It looked to be a lodge of some sort. A very quiet one at that. Of course, the hour was late and she figured its renters were probably already sound asleep. Like she wanted to be.

Love Shadows: Part 7
You'd think hating someone for so long wouldn't make you feel much watching them rot on their death bed. Seeing her mother lying in a hospital bed dying, weak and helpless from her own sickness should’ve only filled her with joy. Lena wanted to be just as heartless as her mother had been most of her life at this very moment. Maybe then, she would've been prepared to see her in this final state of damnation.
