Hypothetical: What would you do if you were her?

Hypothetical situation. Hernia, also called her, lives in a small apartment with a roommate. They have shared the living space for almost 4 years. They've learned to get along. Neither can afford to move out. It's the cheapest apartment they can get. Some improvements occurred while they lived there. Broken stove and fridge, were replaced with new. No washer and dryer, solved with used. Some problems have never been dealt with. Roaches, bees, ants, continue to disturb the peace. Moldy tiny bathroom with rotten wooden walls, never been fixed.
