Girl walks into a Bar

Prose/Free Verse/Automatic

By Shanon Angermeyer NormanPublished about a year ago 1 min read

So this girl I know, she's already done with her midlife crisis and empty nest syndrome, and she's gotten off the hard drugs and just sticks to cigarettes and coffee now. She was watching the old movie Pretty Woman. She decided to put on her long hair wig and go sing some karaoke at the local pub.

She got to chat with a few blokes. They were all nice and handsome. One was even flirting with her and talking about sex. They sang a duet. She wasn't trying to reject any attention or good offer, so she explained to the chap, "I'm a little scared of boys at this time."

He understood. She went home after their duet. She was running out of intelligent things to say, and he hadn't laughed at her jokes.
