Campfire Culture
Fire has been man’s lifeline since the beginning of time. Food, warmth, and light are what fire gives to man. In many cultures, fire is the symbol for life, and anywhere you go today, fire is still used in a powerful way. The campfire to many that live for an outdoor, dirt bag lifestyle, a campfire is a sign of community. Never are you alone when around a campfire, no one has the feeling of depression in a campsite around a campfire. There is something that draws us to a fire, like mosquitos to a light.

Minivan Memories
The smell of the campfire, the mountains in the distance, your favorite pet by your side and the feeling of absolute freedom. Camping as a kid was one of the best weekends you could ask for. I remember me and my two sisters craving to go to the rocky mountains for the weekend just to have an excuse not to shower. I feel like everyone has these memories, the traveling memories as a kid with your family on the open road. Whether it was to a favorite campsite or visiting family members in a distant city, we all have memories that will stick with us forever and will affect our family line for years to come. I feel it is important to share these memories with people, the more we share, the more likely people are to continue to go out as a family for vacation and not sit down behind a TV for hours on end. So here is mine, this is what I did with my family every other weekend growing up, it is what shaped my worldview, and what put me on the outdoor path that I still follow today.

One With Nature: A Call to Enjoy the Outdoors Without Technology
It's the weekend! that means its time to hit the open road. People everywhere are starting their trips to the mountains, beach, or favorite campsite. Come Monday, you're bound to see some posts on Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, or Facebook of all the fun that everyone had. When scrolling through these posts I can only think of one thing: how are they enjoying the people and sites around them if they are worried about getting the perfect picture for social media?

Bike-packing
Bike-packing... sounds pretty miserable, right? I mean, biking hurts your legs more than walking. Why would I want to load up a bike and hit the road for miles of unbearable leg pain? If you have the chance to overlook the leg pain, you will be in for one of the the best rides of your life and a new hobby that will take over your every thought. Feeling alone in the wilderness on two wheels can be a scary thought. My hopes with this post is to help the beginner to get started mountain biking long distances.
