Winter Holiday Fire Safety Tips

The winter holidays are fast approaching, and while everyone is excited to take part in the celebrations, there is still a need to raise awareness about fire safety, as most fires occur mostly during the holiday season. In fact, the American Red Cross reports that 500 lives each year are claimed by winter holiday fires and cause approximately $554 million in property damage. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) also reports that most home cooking fires peak during Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays.
