A Good Person, movie review
The statement "hurt people hurt people" is often used to express the idea that patterns repeat unless people take action to change them. However, sometimes only those who have experienced hurt themselves can truly help others who are also hurting. They have the credibility to share what they have learned and to provide examples of how to improve and feel better. This is where support groups can be invaluable, especially for those struggling with addiction, illness, loss, or abuse.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods ; movie review
The superhero sequel "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" faces an uphill battle with two major strikes against it. Not only is it a studio-produced follow-up, but it's also a superhero movie made in 2023, meaning there's an expectation for a certain level of creative committee-mandated, Mad Libs-y monotony. Regardless of how one feels about the surprisingly decent original film, "Shazam!", the nature of the genre and industry can often lead to formulaic storytelling.

John Wick 4, movie review
The John Wick franchise has been a massive success since the release of the first film. It is an action-packed series that revolves around John Wick, a retired hitman who gets drawn back into the criminal underworld following the death of his wife. The first three films in the series were a massive hit, and many thought that the franchise would not be able to sustain its momentum for much longer. However, John Wick: Chapter 4 has proven that the franchise still has plenty of life left in it.
