The Moraga Steps
What Are the Moraga Steps? The Moraga Steps are 163 steps that have been decorated with hand-painted tiles to make a beautiful mosaic. Each set of steps creates a picture that ascends up the staircase. The Moraga Steps were inspired by the tiled steps in Rio De Janeiro, which attract many tourists.

What is Golden Gate Park? Golden Gate Park is a public space in San Francisco that separates the Richmond and Sunset districts. Golden Gate Park is 1,017 acres of public park space and was created as San Francisco's version of Central Park in New York City. The idea for a similar park to Central Park was first brought up in the 1860s but it wasn't until about 1875 that Golden Gate Park truly became a park. The plan and developments for creating Golden Gate Park was overseen by John McLaren and he served as the superintendent for 56 years.
