Squirrels at sea!
My first writing prompt for vocal social society. Hope you all enjoy it, this was inspired by the sweetest squirrel I had the pleasure of rehabilitating. She was a few week old little baby still needing special formula syringe fed. The flourished and although she lives inside with me playing all the days and bonding. She was released just outside my home and still comes to visit me and hang out. 🥰

#1 . Top Story - August 2023.
from a young age I’ve always enjoyed writing it seemed to be the only thing that could keep me together, in all the chaos of life. It wasn’t always the best, my child that is. There was a lot of rough patches, sadness and a lot of bullying. The only place I had to go was into the forest. With my pen and paper.

A memory memoir
Thinking back on it, I may have been a bit rash. Ok I was definitely a bit radical, I had my walls of defense, but did I have to take flight? Probably not but the action was made. Even through my love Arizona I wouldnt change the choice I made that night and the weeks to follow. Always trust your instincts!

A title that should be unforgettable
Flash back to 2013 here I am walking the path in Santa Monica California looking out at the beach. Mind you I was at the part where there is a cliff and a railing blocking you from falling off. You have a nice vantage point of the whole beach, and a beautiful view of sunset from there. Walking in the direction of the pier, I noticed a book left on the top of the fence. Seeing nobody around, I grab the book and began to read.

Critique and relevance
An eye opening intense film exposing the dark side of substance abuse. yearning for love and acceptance, with eyes wide shut. This film cracks open the reality of abuse prescribed or illicit. Unfolding the destruction of family and love. A scary reality. Cringy extreme deep dive into a cloudy morality.

Playpen
Oh sweet playpen, holder of what’s dear. Quietly standing tall aiding from dangerous falls. Oh lovely large soft sturdy cage. Im so greatful you are here helping to protecting my little one. Lovely you are and spacious too. Not narrow but wide you have lots of room. like a pack and play you offer so much safety, but you my friend offer lots more. So much fun learning and musical joy. More space for all these toys. He rolls and roll all around, you provide it all. You keep him Safe and sound. you have not been unwound. Oh wonderful playpen I could not have don’t this all with out you. You are a breath of brash air. A break here and there. Even have small Straps for little hands to pull on. so glad your walls are sturdy and you strong. You’ve been there just like me watching him grow big and tall. Just when you thought the fun would be gone. Your little door opens with more to explore. Are you a ball pit or maybe a tent. My Little explorer will not be done with you yet. Oh wonderful playpen full of adventure and imagination his too grows yet. Play jungle to a ball pit of snakes. so thankful we are for all the fun and safety you have meant.

Thy bane!
Water drips onto porous excellence. A glorious sud of bubbles soak upon thee. soon it be I yet soaked. Through every dish I splash quite a mess. Night after night day after day. My dried and tired hands lie cracked and bleeding yet you dare not tire. Eagerly you yearn to explore yet more. Conqueror of the dingy. demolisher of dirt and grime. Time and again you’ve stood strong this be no lie! Tough to break through but leaves not a scratch. oh look I’ve just got me another crack. Be it yet the water and not this squish of fun. For the cleaning must not go undone. Scrub a dub dub. This is certainly not a tub. But this little sponge offers lots to love. Bye to sickness and up for health throw that botulism off my shelf. Oh, my sweet stinky loveable sponge. It’s seems your time has left you undone. Torn and tattered you’ve fallen flat. My squishy friend has met it’s match. You cleaned and gleamed everything it seems. What a spectacular sparkle you’ve have been.
