Are Memes Now the Key to Making Successful Music?
The internet loves memes, and music seems to love memes too. Hit songs and trending memes are starting to go hand in hand with one another. It's as if one can't survive without the other. This makes a person wonder if the key to making successful music is creating a successful meme. Well, that's at least the theory I have.

The 'Titans' Trailer Got Some Things Very Wrong
Just recently, I was introduced to the animated Cartoon Network series Teen Titans and instantly fell in love. The characters are likable and fully fleshed out. The stories are exciting and fun. It's one of those kids that doesn't talk down to it's young viewers. So, when I heard there was a live action TV series in the works, I got excited. Then I saw the trailer.

My Life with Anxiety Disorder
In 2012, I was attending church on a rainy night. All of a sudden, my hands start to sweat, and my heart starts to race a million miles an hour. I rush to the women's bathroom with the fear that I would have a heart attack or pass out. It was so hard to breathe because my chest was tight. My mom finds me in the bathroom and takes me outside. When I describe my symptoms to her, she tells me I'm having a panic attack. It was a surprise to me. At the time I didn't feel panicky. That's probably a foolish thought. However, my mom tells me that a panic attack can happen for no reason. She suffers from the same condition.

What's Right and Wrong With 'the Greatest Showman' (Film Review)
The songwriters behind the award winning La La Land helped create a new musical that brought the "true story" of P.T. Barnum to the big screen. The Greatest Showman chronicles the rise of his circus acts and his desire to be to be famous. It also just slightly presents the struggles the performers go through because they are different. So, how well were those stories told? Was this movie the greatest show on earth? Let's take a look.

Hey 'Parks and Rec,' What Ever Happened to Mark Brendanawicz?
For those who don't know (or sadly forgot), Mark was a city planner in Pawnee and one of the main characters in the hit comedy Parks and Recreation. After season two, Mark left town to take another job, earning him the nickname Mark "Brendana-quits." Since his departure, the character was not seen or heard from again. The other characters on the show don't mention him, even in the series finale. It's like he was erased from existence. Why is that? Could such a major mistake have been rectified?

'A Trip to the Moon' Review: Why Director George Melies is a Genius
I am a sucker for old silent movies. It is like taking a time machine to a different era of film making. If one went through all the films by each decade, starting as early as the 1920s, one could witness the history of cinema unfold before their eyes. I can easily find some old black and white films on Netflix, which how I came across a short film called A Trip to the Moon. This gem was released in the year 1902. I didn't even know movies were being made that early in time. In fact, the invention of what we know today as the "moving picture," came around the late 1800s. So upon discovering how old this particular silent film is, I, of course, had to watch it.

Classic Hits Are Turned into Epic Trailer Music
The standard for modern pop music usually involves some electronic beats and auto-tuned vocals. Then we have artists like J2 and Hidden Citizens who turn these pop hits into an epic score worthy of movie soundtracks. Classics such as "Lean on Me" or Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror"(which can be heard in the video above) are reproduced into what is called an epic trailer version. These epic versions have gained enough recognition to be used in promos for TV and films. Let us not forget the many views on YouTube!

'Wonder Woman' Campaigns for the Oscars, and She May Have a Chance at Winning!
Everyone can agree that Wonder Woman broke ground this year in cinema. The superhero film dominated the box office and shattered sexist stereotypes with its female-driven hero and director. So, it's no wonder that Warner Bros Studios is campaigning for Wonder Woman to be nominated for some Academy awards. Variety reported that the movie has entered in the Oscar ring for several categories, including Best Picture and Best Director for Patty Jenkins. Comic book movies are usually (and unfairly) over looked at the Oscars, but Wonder Woman may have a chance this time.
