How to Maintain A Social Life in Your Twenties Without Waking up With a Hangover Every Weekend
Let’s face it - most people in their twenties living in NYC party hard on weekends. Sure, I like going out, but I’ve definitely grown out of the desire to go clubbing until morning hours and heading home while watching normal people go on their morning runs.

Stressed? Here are a few things to improve your quality of life.
Life is filled with trial, error, failure, stressors, ups and downs. That’s normal, and most of us have ways in which we cope with these day to day stressors. There are, however, still a lot of stressors in our lives that we choose to allow or accept, some of which are out of our hands, while others could absolutely be eliminated. A lot of minor things add up, leading to overall stress and anxiety, which is sometimes very hard to pinpoint. The reason why it is hard to pinpoint is because it’s more than just one thing.

I’m 25 and I get Botox Injections - Here’s Why
Growing up, I never really had a whole lot of issues with my skin. I didn’t have the common acne breakouts that a lot of teenagers get, and I didn’t have hard to deal with oily or excessively dry skin. I did, however, spend a lot of time in the sun without sunscreen in hopes of getting a nice tan, and spent a lot of sleepless nights partying until the sun came up. While I am still guilty of both those things from time to time, my skin care has grown to become significantly more advanced, given that I have taken the time to explore different skin care routines and the best possible ways to maintain my youthful appearance, which wasn’t really something I was worried about as a 19 year old. My skin care routine isn’t particularly extensive or involved, and mostly just consists of quality creams, SPF and sun protection (always), as well as a few medical grade facial treatments and, of course, Botox.

I Went One Month With No Makeup, and This Is What Happened
I’ve never been passionate about makeup, especially compared to a lot of women on social media. Don’t get me wrong, they look absolutely stunning and I know that perfecting your makeup look to that extent takes a lot of time, practice, and patience. Unfortunately, I lack all three of those things, which is why I usually stick to my basic 10 - 20 minute makeup routine consisting of a gentle cream, a primer, foundation, concealer, contour, eyeshadow, eye liner, mascara, and maybe some highlight and blush to finish it off. While I am not particularly passionate about switching up my makeup looks, I have been using makeup since I was about 13 years old, and even I know that the products I use now and the way that I apply my makeup, absolutely work in my favor compared to whatever I thought I was accomplishing at 13. I’ve read a lot of stories about how people stopped wearing makeup for 1 - 2 weeks, which changed the way they feel about themselves and boosted their confidence. I decided to do the same, to see how I would feel without it. Here’s how it went.

Here Are Some Ways To Make You Feel More Secure In Your Relationship
Before I get started, here’s a quick disclaimer: these tips are probably not going to be what you expected and this article is not about how to make sure your partner doesn’t lose interest in you. Instead, these tips are how to be more secure with yourself, because as cliché as it sounds, you need to be confident in yourself in order to successfully be confident in any relationship. Trust me, insecurities will only lead to problems and you may even be the one causing them without realizing it. I myself am guilty of this, and while there were definitely other factors contributing to my past relationships ending, I’d be lying if I said that it was all on them. I was controlling, untrusting, and insecure, which led to a lot of unnecessary arguments and eventually, me breaking up with them because “I couldn’t deal with them anymore”. Looking back, while the way that I see things now naturally come with maturity, I have a lot more self confidence than I used to. I also realize that I was the one who ended all of my past relationships, which makes me think that maybe it did have more to do with me and how I viewed myself, than anything else. Below are a few things I have gathered that I think could have improved my past relationships, based on changes within myself.

“Wow! How’d You Stay So Youthful?” - Let Me Guess: Olive Oil?
It’s no secret that a lot of us look up to celebrities when it comes to fashion, diet, and beauty. After all, they are the epitome of what society is *supposed* to view as perfection. There are endless articles based on interviews with celebrities sharing their skin care routines and humble DIY hacks on how to maintain their youthful appearance. Unfortunately, while I would love to believe that sleep, genetics, quality sera, and olive oil kept us all looking young forever, I am not fooled by these “hacks”, and neither should you. That said, I’m not denying that there may be some truth to these basic additions to improve the quality of your skin, however, I do find it hard to believe that celebrities with net worths up to $400M, who essentially have half of their decisions made by managers, directors, and all kinds of coaches, with the constant pressure of having to look perfect, are wrinkle free in their 50s and 60s without even a single drop of Botox or Filler. This may not apply to the very rare cases of excellent genetics, but I truly believe that some celebrities and social media influencers do hide a little bit of the truth. For what reason? Because they don’t want to be shamed for cosmetic treatments.

A Few Things I’ve Learned About My Body In 25 Years
Most of us go through a lot of ups and downs when it comes to body image, what we feel comfortable with, and how we want to look, versus how we physically feel in our own bodies. Over the course of the past ten to twelve years, I have learned a lot about my body and have gone through several stages of hatred, acceptance, and confidence. Considering that body image is not only something personal to each individual, but is constantly reinforced in both positive and negative ways in society and on social media, I decided to put some thought into how my perspective on my own personal body image has changed over time. Here’s what I learned.

How to Get Abs - From a Former Personal Trainer
As a former personal trainer, one of the most common requests I would get from clients was to “tone up” and reduce the fat around their waists. In order to accomplish this, I noticed a lot of people doing endless crunches in hopes of adding definition to their abdomen. Unfortunately if you are one of these people, you likely haven’t seen any results, because crunches are truthfully pretty useless, especially if you’re not adding weights. Another common misconception is that hours of cardio will shave off all that extra weight. Once again, this is only partially true, because the main weight loss quality that cardio has is to create a calorie deficit. This means that it will absolutely not contribute to any kind of definition unless you reach an incredibly low and unsustainable body fat percentage. So how do you get abs? Here are four basic steps to getting those abs to show.

Here’s What I Do To Stay Productive When Working From Home
Since the rise of the Covid-19 pandemic, working from home has become the new norm for many of us. So much so, that many of us are dreading going back into the office in the coming months, as Coronavirus restrictions are being lowered. Working from home can be pretty nice, especially on those lazy days where all you want to do is spend the day in bed and binge watch your favorite Netflix show. On the downside, having all the distractions of being home can lead to laziness and unproductivity - for me at least. While I do believe that it’s okay to have a lazy day from time to time, let’s face it: your workload isn’t going anywhere and sometimes you need to just suck it up and force yourself to work. I came up with a few methods to make this “working from home on a lazy day” process a little bit easier. If you’re like me and find yourself losing all motivation to work on the days you’re working from home, try these tricks because they really helped me!
