Legends of the Cloud Sailors
"Look at the clouds today, a perfect day for sailing," Captain Arty Arbuckle stated. They flowed past the ship as it sailed in the sun's setting. Each day above the earth was the life of a cloud sailor. Only the clear sky and balloon sails could fulfill such a dream. The sky was the new home and their own set of kingdoms. Each day was another day amongst the clouds. The crew worked fervently on the ship. The kingdom of High Britain had some clear weather as the bright horizon came. Other ships passed as the trading routes were open to all, including the awful pirates. When more ships were out, there was less chance of invasion. This route has been traveled so many times without incident. His cargo of his father's coffee was becoming rather popular. Many pirates were now looking for his ship, but Arty avoided them.

A Mid-Summer's Nightmare
The solstice was coming, and the fire was raging. The heat was great, and the old ways were coming back. For so many years, we had not celebrated the great summer solstice. The destruction of traditional beliefs has finally ended. The bond fires were packed as the night continued. Each burning with the ferocity of the night. The heat on such a hot day still was welcome on the mid-summer's night. Such a night was special. The night was lit up by the other families. All the fires made the night glow. It is only once a year, and the sun will show its longest time. Each hour was built up to the day. The whole family was preparing for this day.

The Shadow in the Dark
Bed was never my friend, and slept my ever-wanted muse. I lay down, my body exhausted, yet my mind was not in a good place. Here I am tonight with my eyes drooping, and I know what is coming: the lack of meaningful rest. It was not always like this, and sleep was great until this nightmare started. The nightmare never ended, and I only wanted to cool my mind. My comfy pillow and sturdy mattress have not helped me through this time. I could only figure out what the dream was trying to tell me, but to no avail; I could have that answer. Every night is the same terror; the figure watches with a searing presence. It could never be lost in the chase.

Purple Mountain Majesty
Purple Mountain's majesty made sense when I visited Montana in 2020. It was the year 2020, and things were still very shut down. My family and I decided to go to Glacier National Park, which was open and mainly had outdoor activities. It was indeed one of the most beautiful places on earth. I have always loved the mountains, but this place beat the mountains of Colorado.

Just a Minute
My head lay against the headrest in all anticipation. The ride was about to start. The excitement of thrill ran through my veins. I have waited all summer to be here. The seat was, as usual, stiff. I place my head back from the long spiel from the employees, all from warnings to how one should sit on the ride. It feels like they take ten years just to finish all the safety warnings. All the warnings about the stuff left in the bin may go missing. All for the name of covering their liabilities if something happens. I followed, putting my head against the rest. It was highly stressful, and yet others did not do it all. I take a deep breath as the lights count down the blast. The ride was famous, and the line was long. It was a scorching day, but I did enjoy the wait for such a ride. Its speed was faster than every other coaster I have ridden. I wished to get closer to the front, but that line would have taken forever. It was at least running, considering it was supposed to rain today, but the sky has stayed clear. I just want to sit back and relax as my body is pushed uphill for over one hundred feet. The time is coming closer as the red light appears. All the waiting has come to this a minute, so late, and it will all be over.
