Whispers of the abyss

She's lost. She's lost and confused, perplexed about her next move- we face many obstacles in life. Some we tackle and some we choose to live it. In her case, there's no apparent, practical or physical issue, yet she senses something amiss. Confusing, isn't it? The closest she can describe it to is that inner gut feeling- something of the sort. She doesn't know what to do or who to ask, because who was to possibly help her if she herself wasn't aware of her problem? Usually at times like this she goes to her quote unquote ‘secret escape’, according to her it's a place that brings her to peace where she can think without a care in the world. It's a place where she liberates herself from the need to feign specific emotions for others' approval. Here, she dedicates her thoughts solely to her own well-being and happiness, recognizing that if she doesn't prioritize herself, who else will?
