A Review of Color out of Space
It took me by surprise to hear that there has been a remake and modern adaption of HP Lovecraft's story, Color out of Space. It's not the first time and not the last try to adapt HP Lovecraft's stories. But none that have worked to at least have at least a neutral review. Most of the movies that are adapted go right for Cthulhu (and unfortunately that's a huge chunk of failed attempts).

You're not a bad person for this
We all want to be a good, dependable friend. There are enjoyable aspects in the moments of camaraderie. But if a certain situation happens, there is a questioning in oneself to make sure that this person is cared for and loved. But if something changes, that causes doubt to the kindess we thought was enough. The question of, "Am I a good person?" comes up. I've had it happen to myself because I am a kind person, and I want what is best for my friends. When I had a friend that was having a bad time, I took it serious because I was chosen to be this person's help for guidance. Then in time, I felt terrible when I didn't want to help someone because I had my own problems to deal with or I see that this person was having a re-occurring problem that they may have to face on their own. If I see a social media update about their mental health or a text message saying the same problem. I would feel terrible that I couldn't help because I had to stay back.

Makeup: My Warpaint
Makeup is usually viewed as in different aspects depending on how makeup is used. Sometimes the cosmetic tools are used for a boost of confidence, a mask to put on and hide the other side and can't feel comfortable without the cover up. Sometimes it's a way to be someone else for a while, wearing some different shades to embody by a semi-transformation.

Hazard: The Song of Secrets and Suspicion
My mother has been the one to introduce singers and bands to me as a young girl, to educate me on the songs she loves. When this song played in the car, my mother would tell me about the story of this song. About the young man that was the narrator of this song that couldn't catch a break.

The Genderqueer is here
To We are revolutionizing with identity. There is no longer just two genders and it has to be that way, as if we have to stick with it. There is no sticking with assigned genetic gender. But we are who we are and that instinct can't be fought with the answer of genetics. Genetics don't have a meaning anymore, there's a difference between that an authentic true self.

What happened when I wanted to write a book
I've always been a storyteller in any shape and form. From making up stories that happened at school to tell my grandmother. To my fanfiction days in my teenage years. I knew I had a purpose on this funny green rock we call Earth. My wondering mind was creating new characters, expanding on others, and exploring new ideas in any setting. Of all the characters I've created, ideas to expand on. I never thought that my first book would be about tattoo artists that maintain a side job pertaining to organized crime.

My Quarantine playlist for feels and freedom
There has been an assortment of feelings throughout this whole ordeal of the Coronavirus. Our lives have been changed to live through this part that has made a devastating impact in our history. We have time to be at home now, and we have to find ways to preoccupy ourselves. There's only so much movies and TV to binge and distract. Most of the creators I've been keeping contact with have said that music has been the biggest benefactor to keeping a positive mental headspace to be at peace. I'd have to agree, because it's been a big part of my quarantine routine. To find new songs or listen to ones I have with a new respect for how it parallel to my situation and I never noticed til I had the time to sit down and understand it from a different viewpoint.

Modern artists that need to be on your feed
1. Happy Fluff Comics by Akshara Ashok You ever see the show Girls? Raw realism and cringe truths about female problems. This woman en-captures that perfectly. She makes relatable humorous comics of dealing with dating scene and all those awkward moments. She does numerous comics about the pains of periods. Trivial and annoying things that happen to women, she tells perfectly. But besides the comedic comics she has done. The part of her comics that had me connected, was her personal confessions through her comics that talk about body issues or depression. It's hard to explain to someone what exactly is happening. She's gone on to explain her mental health problems with and how hard it was to have someone understand. As someone who has struggled with having the voice to convey what has drained my brain from all forms of mental health as well, I found comfort in that. She's advocating self-love one little comic at a time.

Is Love, Death, + Robots, the key to small story success?
Animation has always expanded in quality, style, storytelling, and inspiration. But there has never been a series that could do all of that at the same time. A thought that wasn't possible until Netflix released Love, Death, + Robots.

To give an Extension of Friendship
When I We all face this invisible crossroads with a comrade. If it's the friend from the past to the present that has always been a prominent person in our life. If it's someone in the present that was an acquaintance or a casual friend, and eventually became a steady friend with hopes it could be a wonderful friendship apart of our timelines. Either side of the spectrum, new or not. It doesn't change that something changed or became noticed that makes the re-considering of that extension of friendship.
