A New Friend On A Silent Night
It had been quiet for too long. Melody ran her fingers through her shoulder-length chocolate brown curls. She paused, as her thumb ring had gotten caught in her hair. "Why do I do this to myself," she mutters as she pulls her hair out of her ring and attempts to smooth it back into place. It's still silent in the apartment. It was the type of quiet that unnerves you, that silence you can 'cut with a knife'.

We've all heard the tall tales and warnings when it comes to 'special' brownies. Allow me to add one more to the book. I'll preface this by acknowledging that I live in a country where marijuana is legal. You can buy weed in many forms, including edibles, either directly from government-run stores or approved independent dispensaries. (Oh Canada!)

It saddens me when people say they could never travel alone. The word "never" implies that there is no possibility, and I always wonder why that is. Why not even consider it?
