The Invasion
Fleet Admiral David Jones, affectionately called Davy Jones by his men stood on the flight deck of his flagship, the Fleet Carrier DNS Gordon B. Hinckley, the pride of the Deseret Navy and peered through the early morning fog. He could see flashes and heard the muffled thump of artillery from the nearby DNS Idaho and DNS Utah, heavy cruisers sailing nearby. He could barely see them through the fog, despite their close proximity to him. He groaned and cursed the fog, "Blast this damn fog!" He muttered. He turned to see the Poseidon reconnaissance plane sitting on the catapult, waiting for permission to launch. His aide discreetly thrust a tablet towards him which the Admiral looked at, he grunted as the tablet showed positions of the invading force, "They are nearly at the beaches, God go with those boys." He said as the Poseidon took off with a whine and thump, he watched as the plane climbed before disappearing into the fog. The deck quickly came alive as crews began moving the F18 Super Hornets to the catapults for launch.
