Witchcraft
The most favourite time of the year for me personally is Halloween. It is such a fun celebration, with all its games and costumes and ‘scary’ films. Child or adult, Halloween is just so much fun! As it is so very near, 31st October, it seemed appropriate to so an article on Witchcraft.

My Favourite
My absolute favourite books to read are the “Game of Thrones books. The story lines put me in another world in my mind and fires my imagination. The books are far better than the series, although the television series does do justice for the books. Quite a few paragraphs I have read and thought: “they could never put that on the screen,” and then saw the screen version --- and was amazed at how accurate it all is when put side by side with the books!

The Birds of the Seas
The Dolphin is one of the most beautiful and lively marine creatures on this Earth. It sings underneath the Oceans of this world and jump out of the waters to ‘see’ the world we live in. They are graceful, sleek swimmers and can reach speeds of more than 18 miles an hour. They are playful and often frolic in a boat’s wake, leaping out of the water --- mainly for fun but also to communicate and shed pesky parasites.

Dachau
The Nazis Concentration Camps were one of the worst things to have happened in human history. In my opinion, they came second only to the nuclear weapon that was used on the Japanese City of Hiroshima. These are ‘incidents’ that will never be forgotten (or allowed to be forgotten) within the “History Book” of humankind.

WOMEN IN HISTORY
Mary Stuart, also known as Mary, Queen of Scots, reigned over Scotland from 1542 to 1567. She was the only surviving child of King James V of Scotland, who died when Mary was six days old. At this age, Mary acceded the throne. Having been born in 1542 at Linlithgow Palace, Scotland, Mary’s parents were King James V and Mary of Guise. She was the great-niece of King Henry VIII, her paternal grandmother being Margaret Tudor, king Henry VIII’s sister. As she was six days old when she succeeded to the throne, regents ruled Scotland until Mary became an adult.

WHAT WE CAN LEARN FROM ANIMALS
We can learn so much from wolves! They live so closely as a “Pack” (or family) that it is impossible to break the pack. True, there is the dominant ‘alpha’ pair --- but someone needs to be in charge. Siblings babysit siblings, caring for their little brothers and sisters. And when it’s time to hunt, the pack will hunt and feed together.

Possibly one of the most misunderstood women in history, the name of Maria Antoinette is well-known. The last Queen of France was sent to the guillotine at the young age of 37, and some of her last words were courageous: “Courage! I have shown it for many years; think you I shall lose it at the moment when my sufferings are to end!” Yes, this Queen is an Inspiration!
