GENE KEY 10: Self-Obsession/ Naturalness/ Being It is in our nature to be self-obsessed. It is a survival instinct. At the gift frequency we are able to balance this in turn it into self-love. At the shadow frequency we are like Narcissus and all we can do is stare in to the pond at our own reflection. This focus on the individual is core to our evolution – we need to discover our own identity and uniqueness in order to accept others and their differences. The more we allow ourselves to be 'different' the more we are able to accept the differences of others and realise we are all one.
