The Conveyor Belt
I slowly open my eyes and have to stop from gasping. The air is thick and oily and fills my lungs with a wet, soggy film. Where am I? I attempt to slowly look around but can barely move my head. Odd. Instead, I focus on what is in front of me. It takes a few moments to realize that I can’t see anything, just a cold, black abyss staring back at me, silently. Several more moments pass before I realize I still can’t see anything. A feeling of despair begins to creep at the back of my throat. Why can’t I move and why can’t I see?

Sands of Dredge
There weren’t always dragons in the Valley. But the appearance of the Dredge changed everything. They emerged from underneath the earth’s crust, a race of malevolent and ferocious golems. No one knew where they had come from. Some speculated they had been buried deep underground, biding their time to attack humanity. Others thought they were lurid apparitions, awoken by forbidden magic. Amid the onslaught, the council of elders, which advised the King of the Kingdom of Vydora, met to discuss the unthinkable: the summoning of dragons back to the human plane. The plan was initially an unpopular one. It had been a little over two centuries since humanity had battled the ancient saurian race for their very survival, and the scars of resentment still ran deep.
