Home, At Long Last
The above video tells the story of a woman's returns to her childhood home after being rescued from a 16-year captivity at the hands of a child abductor. "Home, At Long Last" explores the unfamiliarity of a once safe space, as the woman seeks solace in isolation from the onslaught of friends and relatives. She finds that she cannot deny the longing for the comfort of her captive past while struggling to reconnect with her family.

I Walk Alone
For as long as I can remember, my mind has been a hornet’s nest of thoughts, worries, stories, alternative timelines in which I live the dream and face the consequences for daring to do so. It gets to be maddening every once in a while. To calm the hornets to a dull buzz, I used to take long brisk walks, but a few weeks before I was hospitalized and a few months afterward I was unable to do this without experiencing chest pressure and shortness of breath. Recovery has been slow but I’m finally at a stage where I can walk again with no ill effects.

Of Air Returned
i. I burned my soul to ash but the pain paled in comparison to the terror that struck my heart like a match, anticipating her arrival and the tirade she would carry in tow. An unwarranted fear, as she was calm when she saw what I had done. Calm and nurturing. Soothing my pain with herbs and aromas, and each early morning during the hour of the wolf, she laid an ear on my back and listened as my soul mended itself.
