The Annual Review
Rabbit Retail is a small business that was started at the height of a global pandemic, thanks to a dream and the loss of a job. Rabbit Retail, as the name suggests, sells all things rabbit. For your rabbit. For you with a rabbit on it. Just all the rabbit things. Rabbit Retail is now 1 whole year old, so it’s time for the first ever annual review. A lot can change in a year so the very first task on the agenda is a staff head count.

De'Coration Academy for Exceptional Rabbits Part 8: Under The Wall
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, Part 7 Sprinkles and Marshmallow The humans had done something terrible! They had made the walls around the garden taller. It was now impossible to get out of the gardens into the wild. Marshmallow and Sprinkles were horrified. They couldn’t fulfil their duties to The Academy or to The Secret Paw if they couldn’t leave the garden! They would have to find some way of getting out and they would have to do it alone as all of their contacts were now on the other side of the wall.

De'Coration Academy for Exceptional Rabbits Part 7: An Exciting Invitation
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6 Sprinkles and Marshmallow Marshmallow and Sprinkles had well and truly settled into their new lodge. However, their observations of the humans continued to be very confusing. The humans seemed to both serve the great sky rabbits and something else. It was very frustrating. Marshmallow and Sprinkles had yet to find a way of monitoring the humans once they retreat into the lair. Months had passed and they had gained minimal additional information. The Academy was content with the rate of progress. It had, after all, taken generations of Exceptional Rabbits to gather the amount of information they had. The Secret Paw remained silent. They had sent no message and they and set no missions. Every so often one of their operatives would drop by to see Marshmallow and Sprinkles and learned anything new or exciting.

De’Coration Academy for Exceptional Rabbits Part 2: Chocolate Heist
Part 1 Two rabbits huddled together in the shadows under a bush. Tonight was the night they would be meeting their contact from the Silent Paw to receive details of their secret mission. Marshmallow, an albino lop, and Sprinkles, a black and white lionhead, were already stationed on site for their first expedition, housed in a comfortable two story lodge with an expansive and magically shifting garden. They had agreed to meet the member of the Silent Paw a little way outside the boundary of the lodge garden. Marshmallow had taken steps to disguise her white fur as stealth was imperative. She had taken great pains to cover herself in grass stains that would take forever to wash out. She still very angry that Sprinkles hadn’t needed to take such steps, the younger bunny’s fur perfectly aided her in camouflage. Watching her companion sit beside her, clean and neat, a wave a furious frustration rose up in Marshmallow, she lent over and tung hard on one of cloud soft tufts of fur around Sprinkles’ ears. Sprinkles took a single hop to the side just out of Marshmallows reach and hunkered down again, lowering her head to nibble at the wild grass. She was used to Marshmallows occasional bouts of jealousy.

De'Coration Academy for Exceptional Rabbits
The barn was getting full. The time was getting near, and Marshmallow was still nowhere to be found. Marshmallow was somewhat difficult to miss, she was a long, albino lop, her bright white fur stood out clearly against anything and that same bright white fur was noticeable absent from the line-up of excited bunnies, causing a few looks and ear twitches of concern. It was an auspicious day for any bunny who attended The De’Coration Academy for Exceptional Rabbits, graduation day, making Marshmallow’s absence all the more worrisome. Today was a day that she had been waiting for impatiently, everyone knew how excited she was to finally graduate. From this day forward all graduating rabbits would be able to go out into the world and explore, investigate and seek treasure fulfilling the three founding principles of the Academy. There was not a single bunny in the room who didn’t long for adventure of some sort.

A love letter to myself.
To you. The person who has my heart, quite literally. It is there, beating in your chest sustaining us. Loving us. There was a time when you were the person I hated most in the world. When I wanted you dead. When I was so sad that you just kept waking up in the morning. There have been times when I have questioned why people like you or why anyone would ever care about you. There have been moments where I have thought of you as the lowest of the low, not even worthy of being called a person. It has taken me years to move passed the doubts and the belief that you were a disappointment. I have to admit that I still have my moments, but they are few and very far between now. I have come to realise that I actually quite like you. Not only do I like you, but you might also be one of my favourite people.
