Science & Studies on Long-Distance Relationships A case of much debate and interest, long-distance relationships have been a topic to debate, especially under the current state of telecommunications connectivity that allows easy communication even when hundreds of miles are separating people. But, can long-distance relationships be successful? Do they survive the distance and all the challenges that come along with it? This article explores the science behind long-distance relationships and the studies that have shed light into their dynamics. We will talk about a few such causes of success or failure of LDRs, which include paradox of distance, quality over quantity, stability, communication, and commitment.
