COVID BF.7 IN INDIA : The Omicron sub-variant BF.7 is thought to be contributing to the current COVID outbreak in a number of countries, including China. India has also reported cases of this variant in various states, including Gujarat and Odisha. While the BF.7 strain has not had the same impact in India as it has in China, the government has advised all states and union territories to increase genome sequencing and exercise caution.
