A Demon Named Frank
Authors Note: This was the first short story I ever wrote, written in a CreepyPasta style and originally posted on the CreepyPasta website. Since writing this story, I have learned a lot and grown as a writer. Subsequently, considered rewriting the story in it’s entirety. But as I started, something about that felt wrong. I’ve decided to leave the story as it is, albeit slightly rudimentary. I hope you enjoy.

The Day Mark Met Death
Mark knew he was dying weeks before the doctor told him, for Mark had seen Death. The first time Mark saw death was deep in the night. He had woken and rushed to the toilet to vomit, and found himself unable to fall back to sleep through the pain. This was normal for Mark, given the advanced state of his illness, so he already had a routine for such events. He brewed himself some Tea, Chamomile and Lavender, which was sometimes the only thing he could keep down, and sat down in front of his large bay windows to gaze upon the tree line of the forest at the edge of his property.

The cold air provided me with the only sense of peace that I could find right now. Just yesterday, I was just a normal teenage kid living a normal teenage life with normal parents who loved me. Today, everything I thought I knew about my life was shattered.
