I have written for the likes and I have written when I hated myself. I called an ambulance on myself and poetry is the surgery that keeps saving me.
My boys are dying. Some of them are poets. They have written a thousand poems and not one, has earned them a living. Open mics don't open the door when the landlord closes your house.
