I‘m an artist, a creative soul, or thats what I tell people. When it comes to my painting though I doubt I fit the typical mould, you see my brush is a blade and my canvas is my skin.

Birthday’s on the pirate ship. Content Warning.
I‘m a neurodivergent adult, a trauma survivor, a suicide survivor. Every birthday should be a celebration, right? I mean, how did I even make it this far, my teenage years undiagnosed, well more accurately misdiagnosed. My childhood and young adult years full of trauma. I regularly ask myself how I got this far. But every birthday, rather than being a celebration, a gathering of family and friends, a happy event, since the age of around 16, and maybe a few before that, they have been just not.

Surviving?
The things that stick with you after an assault the most would surprise some people, the things that these people say to you. The words that bounce around your skull for years to come, no matter what you do to drown them out. The tone of their voice as they tell you to shut up, that they don‘t care or even that you are a “good girl”. How can such an innocent phrase reduce you to a puddle of angry anxiety after all these years?

There weren’t always dragons in the valley. Nor were there Fay folk in the forests or witches wherever they wanted to be. The monarchy used to be a cherished family, not an absolute power with the most gold, influence and the most robust line of skyborn. But those days are gone now, long gone.

CHAPTER 1: The First Meeting Ashlyn’s 15th birthday almost was here, but she wasn’t excited. Like her 14th and 13th, she would be spending her birthday at Park View house. She was surrounded by strangers again and hoped they wouldn’t touch her. Ashlyn had been admitted to park view at the tender age of 12 and a half, mustn’t forget the half when her “forever family” Mark and Sandy couldn’t deal with Ashlyn’s nightmares or her visions. And they couldn’t stand the way she hated being touched by people or knew things about them that she shouldn’t.
