Chapter 001
Trying to manipulate late anthropocene era orbital technology with paws. Did you laugh? I did. Of course I did. My options are to laugh, or to wail, and the second one takes up more energy than I have on offer right now. I would have to take *several* naps. And while the naps where you just flop in the sunlight coming through the windows are *way* better out here, they don’t have the same relaxation quality.

Chapter 002
The biggest example, from back when ‘information storage systems’ meant ‘paper, and if you were lucky, a *good* pen’, is guns. Plenty of cultures developed shovels in the absence of each other, and those shovels are, let’s be real here, pretty much all the same shovel. The inflexible human desire to not get your fingers dirty is universal.

Chapter 003
Paws are so bad for this. There’s the usual things you can probably expect, like how feline forelegs don’t actually have the same range of motion that human arms do, or how I just don’t have the muscle strength to keep up repeated motions like this. One of those is fair! I cannot change my bones. I also have more trouble than you’d expect with my toes. Those little pads that are great for gripping lots of different surfaces? They slide *right* off whatever miracle material this one specific stupid control stick is made of.

Chapter 004
I am aware of the alarm going off, because for safety reasons, I am not allowed to disable alarms. If you’re thinking something along the lines of “But you shouldn’t disable alarms? That seems unsafe.” Then you’re correct. But I’m over four hundred years old, and you don’t really make it that far without building up at least a few reckless habits. And a hatred of alarms.

Chapter 005
Okay, so, that’s a bit of a lie. I say “it worked” as if my original plan was a success. What I was not telling you was that it has been over a week of failed attempts trying to communicate with the old weapons platform in orbit around the prime moon.

The Mystery of the Undersea Pyramid
In April 1977, scientists in the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea at the bottom of the Bermuda Triangle found a 200 meters high seabed pyramid. The following year, in 1978, Rocher Verger, director of the International Diving Center, led his team on a special trip to the Bermuda Triangle. That day, the sky was clear and the wind was calm. While they were sailing steadily in the sea, a storm suddenly arose, and the sea became misty and white. The ship was out of control and they had to throw themselves into the sea. When they had gone down to a depth of 100 meters, they saw a great pyramid with two large holes through which the sea was passing at great speed, causing great waves. After a while, when the phenomenon disappeared, the sea became calm again.

He found an unusually large number of flint shavings on the ground and determined that the limestone slab found here was not a Byzantine tombstone but something much older.
