Crossroads

Chapter One Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. But in the bowels of Crossroads Station – literally the bowels, as I was in pursuit through the byzantine waste reclamation facilities that surrounded the lower decks – screams echoed off of every pipe, nook and cranny in a fashion that was pretty damn disturbing.
