Not Too Sweet
Sweet sweets I have sweets for sale. “Would anyone like to buy any sweets? You sir you look like you could enjoy some sweets.” The traveler looked up to see that the merchant was talking to him. I don’t really like sweets. She said oh really, so you’ve come to the right place! these cakes, right here these are very special cakes these cakes has the perfect amount of sweetness, not too sweet. He questioned her, “not too sweet just right?” He put a gold coin on the table. She handed him a white chocolate raspberry mini cake. She looks at him with a huge smile on her face. He takes a tiny bite of the cake and instantly he looks at the woman. “Wow these are so amazing!” “I told you they are good.” the merchant said. “I can eat these over and over again and never get tired of them while.” Said the traveler. “Well you’re in luck, I have plenty for you to purchase. Just tell me how many you want and I will give it to you.” “Could I have all of them?” he question. She thought for a moment let me think about that. “If I gave you all of my cakes, I would have enough money to be done for the day, but then I wouldn’t be able to have any more business for the rest of the day. Let’s see, how about I buy half of your cakes so that gives other people opportunity to taste the cakes as well.” “Oh yes, that sounds much better!” He bought half the cakes and then continued on his journey, thinking back to the woman that sold the sweets that were not too sweet.

The Ideal Pet
He woke up with a fright. His vision blurred and his body burned like thousands of needles pierced his skin. He moaned in agony but he was silent, no sound came out of his mouth as he screamed. His chest felt heavy like he had a layer of bricks laid out on his chest. He struggled to get up but he couldn’t move. His eyes finally focused and he immediately shut them close. He couldn’t believe what he saw. The burning sensation intensifies and he tries to scream again but air blows betweens his lips.

Love At First Flight
5:30 AM *Alarm beeps* I roll over to turn off the alarm on my phone. ‘This is the big day’ I think to myself. This is going to be the first time that I catch a flight by myself. I say and pray asking for protection. I shower and dress for the day. My bag was packed the night before. I grab my bag, purse, and keys. I look back at my empty apartment one last time. I drive my red Prius to the airport parking garage. I take the shuttle to the American terminal. I walk up to the self checkout machine and look puzzled.

ZODIAC LOVE
I look down at my Instagram feed. I got a notification, he just went live. Who is this? I wonder. Wow! He’s so fine, OMG! That accent. I have to get his attention, but how? He just said that he is single. Green light! I send a raised hand emoji and type “ Me Too!” “Beautiful women that hustle, I like that name.” He says. He is talking about movies now. I type, “I am a movie.” He reads my comment and says “ I bet you are beautiful women that hustle.” He was promoting his Instagram live badges. “ Ok, I am only going to be on here until I reach my goal of 100 badges.” He was at 98 and then 99. I bought the last badge that he needed and I wanted to make sure that he knew that. So I posted, “ I bought your last badge!” He replies, “ thank you so much beautiful women that hustle for buying my last badge.” Then his live feed ends.

Mystery Zoom 101
This new year was off to a rough start.I discovered that I was not only suffering from PTSD but to add to that, vicarious trauma. The vicarious trauma was being brought on from the toxic environment at work. At my place of employment I witnessed a fellow coworker die on the premise, while I was on break. Not only that, his shrine was surrounding my desk. I had to relive the trauma from that night everyday. My therapist suggested that I take a medical leave. I had a gut feeling that was not going to be enough. I felt like I was putting a bandage on an open head wound. I was already having the conversation with my husband about quitting. His solution was to have me retire in the next 16 YEARS! That just didn’t seem realistic to me. So I decided that I would just quit altogether. I was already approaching 12 years with the company and I couldn’t see myself doing another 16 years on top of that. So the next day I quit and I experienced a rush of pure bliss. I was no longer chained to a company that was literally draining my life.
