I'm a Mom of two boys, and I have a love of literature. I'm an open book and love reading and writing. I started writing around age 10. I like the term Dragon Mom as I hoard Books.

As We Move On.
As I leave my families little place, that I still feel strongly as if we're not supposed to go, I know without a doubt I want to continue to bring my small one as my family did. I was quite young when the full switch happened. I only remember small bits of the old ways. But mostly form what felt like hidden trips to see my parents elders, as they could not handle the change and were set up in what people called, "Miniature Villages for the Wise and Well Aged." I could not even begin to guess how many of these existed initially, but I know that now they are all gone now, and many look much like what exists in the spot my parents used to take us, this place that I just left, where I stood looking at the left over carnage of The Last Great War. I always felt like we weren't supposed to go to the old villages either. However like my parents I feel like we need to learn from the past as much as we can. I also know how dangerous this information could be in the wrong minds. This is why Teachers and Shapers are the only ones to keep and share this information quite carefully.

The Tailors Life.
*Alarm buzzing* Stretching out and yawning while Susie shuts off her incessant alarm. Time to get ready for another amazing day. She often wonders if she's getting too old to do this alone. She has been in this cycle; wake up, get ready, make cloths and do fittings, home and sleep; for the last 30 years. She loves her job, her quiet little life, and this tiny little town. She can agree that her town being just close enough to the big city has it's perks as well. She has heard from her regulars that several of her customers come from all over the country to see her specifically, so apparently word of mouth has it's perks too. Maybe I need to look for an assistant, or better yet, an apprentice, she thinks with smile. An apprentice doesn't necessarily need experience, but it would be beneficial.

N.T.'s vs N.D.'s
Have you ever met someone odd in a way you couldn't place what was odd but knew something was there? Have you ever met someone who was called, "a walking encyclopedia"? Have you ever been the one who picked on this person for knowing things you did not? Have you ever wondered what made them different? Do these questions bring a specific someone to mind? As this was me growing up, I do not want this to be my sons fate, which is why I am writing this. I know in todays "Age of Information" and the World Wide Web, many questions can be answered in the blink of an eye just by saying, "Hey Google" or "Hey Siri..." But not always these questions, nor several others, I mean you can add in the oddities to a search and I'm sure it would pull up something on some site or other.

Creationism Versus Evolution
Have you ever tried to understand the other side of the debate over Evolution or Creationism? Many will balk at the idea of this being a debate and many have had this debate unsuccessfully, as it seems to always end in a stalemate of sorts where both sides walk away feeling either like they must have taught the other something or irritated that neither would concede. Each generation has their own way of seeing and thinking about things. Just as each religion has it's own take on things. This particular take on this discussion is mostly through the eyes of someone who had a somewhat openminded Christian upbringing. Along side this there was a very small age gap in the learning mentalities, since the "grands" had the four "rents" starting at age 17 and spanning over only 9 years. These four "rents" had eight living "littles" over a roughly 7 year span. The littles were mostly taught to question everything, just like the age they were growing in. However this wasn't intended to carry over to religious beliefs. Clearly some of us took this a bit too literal.

Thankful for Growing Up on the Move.
My how school has changed over the years. Twenty years is a lot of time for change to take place, and it should continue to grow and move forward. There is one thing I hope never changes, and that is teachers. Teachers help shape the world in ways some people never even realized. We all have at least one someone we can say helped shape us into the humans we are today. Someone who showed us an interest we didn't even know we had, someone who cared enough to hear us out, and help raise us up. This someone could be a family member, family-friend, or sometimes even a complete stranger. Often this someone is an amazing teacher.

I'm raising little Gentelmen
I am sure we have all heard the saying "boys will be boys." I have heard it for as long as I can remember. I remember it being used for boys weird behaviors, such as climbing on things and jumping off of them at heights they should not have been at, and all kinds of weird things like eating dirt and insects. However slightly more recently it has apparently become an excuse for boys to be bad, like really bad. This is not something that should continue. Respect for each other and their boundaries is a must.

Building a Pole Barn
I could no longer sleep and even though I did not wish to leave my warm bed with my beautifully sleeping wife in it, I needed to use the facilities anyway and just couldn't stay in bed any longer. I sighed and quietly snuck out of bed, kissed my wife on her forehead, causing her smile in her sleep. I smiled knowing even in sleep she loved my kisses. I went to the washroom and then headed to the kitchen to make coffee and put the breakfast bake my wife prepped for us last night from the fridge into the oven.

Hard Pills to Swallow
I can guarantee this is all unpopular information. However you cannot make changes if you don't rub someone the wrong way and stir the pot a bit to get things moving and people thinking. I know without a shadow of a doubt that people do not want to see or hear that they have been led astray. However, there is ample proof of this throughout history; people are told to look at things a set way and, "we're doing this for the good of ____" and lied to about the reasonings behind their truly terrible idea, but made to believe it is the best thing for them. Always these lead to the failing of an empire. Several examples of this in current history even; Time-change for example, I promise to elaborate later.

When We Look Back
We use the wheels everyday, and never think about how it used to be. I remember stories of the past and vaguely remember the finalization of the change over, but long rides like this get me thinking. When we're little we are taught to use the wheels, and we all get our own set. These things are completely customizable and adjustable to each of our needs. They are specific to us; in a pinch you *could* use someone else's but it's really obvious differences. We did away with a lot of things over the years, I realize as I slow way down to a place that I think used to be what they called a city before. Our cities now are vastly different. I hop off and out of the wheels, looking around. I used to come here often and wander around imagining what it was like to live like this. We have pictures to know what it once looked like, but now it almost looks like they either stopped mid assembly or mid destruction randomly and never came back, like this part of the world just suddenly vanished from existence over night.

Telling My Best Friends
My best friends are the most amazing friends anyone could have ever asked for. We have known each other for as long as any of us can remember. Daycare, Pre-K, Kindergarten. Now we're sitting in our eighth year of schooling. I remember a day back in our fifth year of schooling when I think I just discovered a truth about myself. I didn't know how I fell about this truth. I remember wondering if it is had always been this way and if I just figured it out does anyone else know? Was it obvious to others? Was I the only one? I guess lets see what happens from here.

Angel and Baby Parker
As we all played we dreaded telling momma again. She still didn't believe us about the horns. How in the world would she react to hearing Owen was now part dragon?! I mean she has to believe us now, but I am still nervous. Momma has been our main caregiver and she teaches us all kinds of things, I don't want momma mad. This is so exciting though. I wonder what dragons gift he received, but without having another dragon around we couldn't just ask one....
