Until recently, people had to seek out dealers in seedy neighborhoods to get high. Now, we find drug references in music, movies, and pop culture. While the dangers of substance abuse aren't lessened, the increasing social acceptance of these substances is a significant threat to our society. The rise of social acceptance of drug use coincides with an increase in the number of overdose deaths.
