Winter's Prey
On January 27th, in the heart of winter’s grip, I receive an urgent call that propels me into the frigid night. My journey spans over a day, leading me to the snow-enshrouded depths of the Washington forest. My brother, Charlie, ventured into this wintry expanse to hunt, but now, a vast blanket of snow stretches before me, swallowing the landscape. Snowflakes cascade from the heavens, crystallizing on tree limbs, capturing leaves in icy suspension. The monochrome silence is violently shattered by the sight of Charlie's blood-stained body against the pure snow.

Crime Train
PROLOGUE Another day, another brilliantly planned job by yours truly. I was sitting in the back seat of the van with the crew, heading toward the Museum of Natural History. After they announced the new Egyptian Mummies exhibit, we knew right then that plenty of high-valued objects would be up for the taking soon enough. That was almost exactly a year before, when the planning began. As the planner of the group, it was my job to create a perfect plan to get us in and out without anyone even knowing we had been inside. That was my role in the group. The brains. Every crew I had ever heard of had the same five members, to perfectly execute any heist.

Make the Hard Choice
Every day of your life will force you to make choices. These choices can be as easy as what brand of ice cream you are going to buy from the supermarket. But sometimes, you get put into a situation (or in my case, you put yourself into a situation) that means making the hardest decision of your life. I am here to tell you to make the hard choices. Stories don’t matter. My story and my history doesn’t matter because it’s not your story. All I’m saying is don’t be afraid. Don’t stay in a situation because of a fear of the unknown, because sometimes, the unknown can be incredible.

The Dragon Rider
There weren’t always dragons in the Valley. The story of how they came to be there is unbelievable, but I promise you that every detail I am writing is true. It all happened. I am writing this under a fake name for very obvious reasons, but I need to write it. The truth needs to be told. The world needs to know how dragons returned. But most importantly, I am hoping that this tale will help the world understand why I did what I had to do. My life and the lives of everyone who lives in The Valley will never be the same, and it is all my fault.
