Does It Make You Feel Better ?
Inspired by recent experiences Joshua Turchin had with former friends who were bullying him, Does it Make You Feel Better explores why bullies feel the need to put people down in order to make themselves feel better. Through writing this song, Joshua learned that the root of bullying stems from the bullyâs own insecurities. âAs someone who constantly endeavors to lift up and provide opportunities for others, it just didnât make sense to me why I was being targeted. I hope those who bully others look inside and think about why they needed to put someone down to make themselves feel stronger.â Does it Make You Feel Better is co-written with the incomparable Victoria Shaw, known for writing such songs as The River with Garth Brooks and John Michael Montgomeryâs I Love the Way You Love Me among others. Recorded at M & I Recording Studios in NYC, Shaw also co-produced the song with Rocco Fiorentino.

Catching up with acoustic rock pop singer songwriter Jay Elle.
Jay Elle is an acoustic rock pop singer songwriter who brings warmth and energy through diverse, well-crafted, âfive starâ, guitar-driven melodic songs. His soft inviting voice will uplift and soothe your spirits and his witty lyrics will provoke deeper thoughts about the world while sharing optimistic, positive, upbeat messages that will âhave you carry on with your day with a smileâ. Jay Elleâs latest release, the 12 song album âRide the Waveâ, was recorded, mixed and produced by Caleb âkbcâ Sherman (Cygnus Sound Studio). The album was mastered by Paul Logus (plxmastering.com). âThe pandemic feels like one of those endless rainy days that I hated as a child. Boring!!!!!â says Jay Elle. âBack then, on rainy days I couldnât go out. According to my mom, if I were to get my hair wet I would most certainly catch a cold. Apparently, everyone elseâs mother thought so too. There was no one to hang around with on rainy days. At home, I was on lock down with the same old toys. No guitar then. No Internet. My new album, RIDE THE WAVE, is about how to best enjoy yourself while waiting for the sun to shine again.â (Spotify bio)
