The Last Memory
A modern day, a modern age – the last memory of them is gone. Or, at least, it should be. Each passing day, a new moment is left to strike a chord deep inside. It sends shivers up our spines, a sickening twist in our stomachs. This feeling riles up that old, old forgotten time.

Fool Proof
The vibrant green forest was quiet. Too quiet for an Anoxiver morning when life was supposed to be in renewal, and quieter than it was yesterday. Éimhím trudged onwards, unsettled. His pastel, deep lime green scales with their rich pink undertones, bristled. It shouldn’t have been so quiet, especially not during the yearly two-week eclipse. He had gone years and years seeing it all over the world, and it was never this quiet even in the calmest of places, let alone here, the most dangerous region during the lightlessness.

The Edge of Forever
Thunder blasted out by Theresa’s head, causing her to bolt awake with a scream. She had gone to bed when the storm had just started, hoping for a soothing rest for a change, but she wasn’t expecting the storm to move right overhead. Something flickered in the darkness to her left. She looked over in confusion to find a window and a strange storm of coloured clouds of purple, blue, pink, and green beyond it.

The Echo
The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. I had heard the rumors of the cabin before, but I was left a bit surprised by its condition. It had a few cobwebs, but it wasn’t as rundown on the inside as I thought it would be. The outer walls were covered in moss and the property covered in overgrowth that gave no sight to a stable or even a road that led to the place. With the extremely dense trees that created a rich, horrifyingly dark forest which surrounded the small field where the cabin lay, I only hoped it would block out the candlelight to the rest of the world. The wild region was difficult to navigate even for someone familiar with it.

Whispers of Time
There weren’t always dragons in the valley. In fact, it wasn’t until this moment, looking down from the cliffside, that I had ever seen a dragon. I had heard of them and seen sketches in textbooks. Heard about them from friends and teachers who had left our valley, but I had never seen one.

Flowers for You
The window was down as a small breeze went through the car. My roots tingled in anticipation as I took in the warmth of the sun that glistened upon my beautiful orange and yellow petals. It was a beautiful day out, perfect for me to be given off, and enjoy the events that would follow. There was lots of carbon for a marigold like me to intake in a forest of noises and cement. While I couldn’t see, I knew it to be true. I had felt the area before – just as I had travelled down the road before. Not that I had personally been down the paths myself.

No Place Like Dome
The smooth ride on the tram took me up above the city streets, sharing cars, buildings, and the dome beyond the city limits. The lighting presented to be a bright, sunny day as it projected it across the city. A lie however as I looked at the highlight on my phone. An advertisement to see the massive sandstorm that raged outside. A scoff came out as I deleted the notification.
