Chapter 1: The Plan Ali, Mark, Sarah, Tom, and Lisa met on an online forum for adventurous travelers. They had all expressed an interest in exploring the Sahara Desert, and had decided to band together to make the journey. They spent months planning the trip, researching the best routes, and gathering supplies. Ali and Mark, who were studying in the UK, flew to Morocco where they met up with Sarah, Tom, and Lisa who had flown in from the US. The group rented an SUV and began their journey towards the desert.
