November 21st, 2022 It’s the day after our fourth-year anniversary and I thought the confusion would have passed by now. I thought that the shadows of summer would be now under feet of snow, that they would only resurface when the ice melted again. But I was wrong, the shadows came back faster than I had wished.

November 17th, 2022 The cold is here, and it will stay for a while. It’s dark by 4PM and the forecast for tonight is snow, for the first time this season. I’m writing this entry from my bed, listening to my boyfriend compose a song from the other side of the wall; waiting for the snow to fall. I have to sleep soon, it’s almost 10PM and I need to work tomorrow, and I hope to wake up to frosty-white streets and trees.

bare legs
October 28th, 2022 It’s been weirdly warm these past few days. It’s around 22°C and we’re one weekend away from November. Very unusual. The long, thick jackets have been out since the beginning of the month, as autumn pretended to settle. But now, with the quick and sudden return of the warmth, I got reminded of one of the most peculiar aspects of summer, to me at least: exposed body parts.
