The Queens Sonnet
“There weren’t always dragons in the Valley.” Or diamonds in the sky, Sonnet told me while she gazed at the stars. She was a wispy one, long in the leg but short in stature, eyes of violet against mane of fire. She looked like no other amongst us, but it mattered little to me or any man seeking her love.

Unjustly but consequently, I had earned the moniker of Boy Scout for an unusual talent, as well as reserving judgment and comment until a pivotal point was reached.

The magnificent Dog Days of summer arrived just in time to enjoy the unveiling of my freshly restored VW Karmann Ghia. A far cry from the typical muscle cars I’d previously restored. A real beauty for those who had imagination. While I thought it cute, it hardly compared to the Ferrari 308 GT I’d just finished for a friend.
