Retro Space-Age Homes, Reimagined for Today
In the golden age of mid-century design, a vision of the future took shape that was bold, optimistic, and unmistakably unique. From the 1950s to the 1970s, architects and designers made homes that looked like they belonged on the moon rather than on a suburban street and embraced the aesthetics of the space race. These retro space-age homes, often called "Googie" or "futurist" architecture, featured swooping curves, domes, bubble windows, and geometric silhouettes that defied the boxy norms of their time.
