Amidst The Blaze
upon dust as vacant as a blank memory desolate to touch in which the most vial feeling overwhelms me. As my mind gives permanence, of these raw emotions from the past. Scarred and tattered from the experience yet these vambraces I wear as a badge of honor. For the pain and anguish at the time was beyond comprehension. It is nothing of a moment. So minute as the sun fading into the dark Moonlit sky. As passing of a hourglass through the night, transforming into a new sunrise. So be my embrace of growth ever wondering as a wolf through the forest in search of its prey. Let me feed in its abundance for the hunt is ever on-going. ENGULFED as to flames of a wicked fire setting a blaze swiftly to the forest. Approaching so ferociously I dare to say I just barely eluded its blaze. A house which now lays as a pile of ashes , at the bottom, of the deepest canyon. In my heart for the memory will forever stay paying rent. Reflection of another life long gone, exasperating my last breath filled, with the smog left in it's wake. Alive again as fresh air fills, my lungs the path before me lights up once again .. As I gaze back upon the blazing eferno a glimmer of sunlight peaks through the smoke and ash. Onward, I go with these scars as a reminder. Yet with ambition and the wisdom of knowing I do not walk forth being unscathed but scathed and a new found strength.

Echoes of Light
It Is in our ability to see the sky even tho it is dark one moment.. one is still shown the light the next.. we smile through the pain trying to hide it when all sometimes we really need to do is relish in it. Shed that skin! For we may grow more un breakable and courageous in the dark then ever in the light. So much that when the light finally gazes down upon us it's as if we harden yet our soul shines as if we were a diamond unearthed for a 1000 years once we resurface we become more unique with each evolution within our lives. Embrace growth without it we are merely existing. Seek not what is outside of ourselves but within.

Thoughts of My Dreams
She had a smile that could light up the night sky... Her eyes had a mystery behind them you had to look, deep in the crevasses that she tried to keep hidden... She was wild and free like a raging waterfall, her true nature was full of life.. she was so enigmatic so stunning of a creature painted by Gods brush many might not see past the tough exterior she projected.... a foundation was built so thick you could never tell it was from broken pieces... she was everything all at once, and too potent for the wrong touch...he only wanted to get to the depths of what ly asleep in her.. a reserved bottle of the finest scotch he only wished to drink slowly...

MEMENTO VIVERE
Into the wilderness I go. Into the vast unknown in search of freedom. Only the wild animals who roam shall ever know. Sweet whispers of the wind, swaying of the trees. This smell of the air, let it infuse and intoxicate. The mind body and spirit with endless energy. As close to lust as sweet as her bottom lip for mother nature, is my dream girl. Who sets the soul ablaze with her sweet serenade. Into the wilderness I roam. Seeking enlightenment so surely as the sun gazes down, upon me. Embracing the warmth of but a dream for into the wilderness I go. A man's journey is a lifetime of evolution. He who seeks self growth shall stand a top the summit. Screaming out "I have lived as a lion". The world is my arena and I hunger always for more.

The Spell Of Merlot
It was as if time stopped, rain drops frozen in mid air. The memory of this night would stay with me forever. The first date was out of this world. I picked Jennifer up early that Friday afternoon. The way the sun hit her eyes, had captured my soul. It was as if the sun Ray's besieged through the water finding the rarest of emeralds. With a smile I said to her let us get this adventure started. We tuned into our favorite jams on the radio driving through the mountains. Down the winding narrow road with a magical forest surrounding us on both sides. The fresh air the way her skin shined it was like it derived from the finest silk known to man. We pulled off just to the south of the road. We glanced our eyes up to the ice glazed mountain top it was as if it came straight from one of Picasso private portraits. We started our trek through the forest nothing but God’s country surrounding us. The subtleness of the birds chirping the wind swaying these giants of trees. As we made our approach to a rock perched over a cliff. Jennifer spotted the blanket and basket of wildflowers. I had my brother place there, just before we arrived. The most succulent strawberries, raspberries and blackberries picked just the day prior ly underneath the flowers. With a bottle of the of the finest Castello di Ama, “L'Apparita”. Imported from the Tuscany estate itself. Glazed bruschetta bread with a garlic Greek olive spread. Fried cherry tomatoes overtop the bruschetta with a pinch of rosemary and parmesan cheese as our appetizer. The older I get the more wrinkles I see. Time has always remained to be still. I remember Jennifer as if it were that day all over again. We later married after our amazing adventure we went on in the mountains of Montana. Hard to believe the images and thoughts the resurface out of the depths. It has been 50 years since our first trek through the enchanted forest of our youth. Each year I take the trip to remember the love I shared with her. The same rock perched over the cliff side I lay there reminded of the fond memories of my wife. Jennifer passed some years ago now. It is only I who sits surrounded by God’s country. Yet in so many ways I envision her long hair. The contour of her body the silky skin and those emerald, green eyes. All those years ago to think it was but one day that set us on a path intertwined for years to come. A whisper from my daughter Isabelle, Dad are you ready to go? As I slowly rise up overlooking the cliff side. Its always so hard to leave this place love. My heart and soul will always be here in this place this moment. It is but a shade of the sunlight we used to bask in. your mother and i. Forever will my heart be enthralled with the Spell Of Merlot. Years give us time and wisdom but the moments we share empower our lives. They shape us however big or small. This special rock perched over the cliff side in the mountain’s of Montana will bring soul food for years to come. Until next time my love as I gaze upon the sun setting over the mountain top. The cold brisk wind of her embrace as I go to turn away. Jennifer physically gone but always a part of me in spirit. 50 years to the day I will always come back here for as long as I breathe to bring back the memory of love.
