Saving A Soul
It was the middle of fall. The leaves were turned as the nights became chilly. Some people were home snuggling with hot cocoa while others with apple cider. It was a perfect night for a scary movie as the moon was full and tomorrow would be Halloween. Others like Richard were up to no good on such a night.

The Sharp Edge Of A Blade
It was a beautiful April day. I had just woken up in anticipation to go hunting. I've been planning this with my friends for weeks and the day was finally upon us. This was the season to hunt Iguanas. The sad truth about it was that the hunting season was not in effect and getting caught would lead to getting in trouble with the law. This is the time of year which the Iguanas are pregnant and venture out for food before they lay their eggs come the first thunderstorm of the season. For us it was the perfect time to hunt as the eggs were the best part to eat. A single Iguana can lay anywhere from fifty to sixty eggs at a time which is more than enough not to over hunt as we were also mindful of the nature in our wrong doings. I was to meet up with one of my best friend Mark and we would travel to meet his uncle before we headed out. His uncle was skilled in the hunting art and knew where and how to look for our prey. I had a great feeling that today would be a glorious day. Who knows what would be in store for us.

A Grand Proposal
It's been seven years I've been with the love of my life and marriage has always been a subject we've talked about. It has always been something to personally feel bad about when someone in her age group she knows gets married. She's not the one to hold it against me. However, I do feel responsible for taking so long to pop the question. Especially since it has taken me this long due to financial circumstances. She is also aware of this and knows that it will come eventually. Putting myself in her shoes I can't help but wonder if and how often she hasn't questioned why or if I'll even ask for her hand in marriage. It's 2017 making it seven years in August that we will together. This is my year as I plan to pop the question. The only thing left is to plan a California vacation with her not knowing the main reason and finish my payment on the ring I placed on lay away out for her.

An Encounter With Tata Duende
It was a late evening playing outside on the farm waiting for dusk to come in. I was just a nine year old boy entertaining myself playing marbles on a patch of dirt I had found on the land. By this time I had played with my brothers and now playing by myself as I was obsessed with the nature of the game. All of a sudden a strange little kid appeared in front of me and asked if he could play. I looked around and was shocked that I could not see him approaching as I was stationed in an open area on the farm. I didn't linger on the issue and accepted the kid's request as I proceeded to lay out the rules of my game. He did not have any marbles of his own so I was disappointed that I would not be able to play for keeps. Nevertheless, I shared mine with him and the games commenced.
