Tinnitus, Greek or Latin?Chances are, Only Few Heard & Know About it...But it is a Medical Condition
It is tiring to rest does not make sense but that exactly how I describe it every time I go to bed trying rest and sleep. It is not really all quiet during the night but in the absence of the typical sounds we hear during the day, we call it silent night but in this tiny spec of the world I live in, there is the humming of air coming out from the furnace or air conditioner registers, the ticking of clocks, crickets chirping, dogs barking, owls hooting, frogs croaking, rustling leaves or branches, the distant hum of traffic, the occasional flushing of toilet then there is TINNITUS, the high pitch ringing in my ears only me can hear it. The high pitch does not deliver any comfort or pleasure but I describe it like the first five words of this article. Fifteen Percent of the population worldwide experience some form of Tinnitus at some point in their lives. The figure does not bring me comfort but at least I know I belong to a large member of a group who suffers from this kind of condition.
