TCoE: Backstory Blogs Pt. 1
While I was laboring away today and found my mind wondering about writing and my books, I was trying to muster up some ideas on ways to help spread the word on my work and I figured one way to be heard, is to be persistent. I need to be writing constantly and consistently, at least something geared toward these books. I needed a way to share bits and pieces of the world I have created in shorter and more "seizing" ways so that I can try to capture intrigue from potential new readers. Here and there within the past year, I have gotten some feedback from a few of my readers and some were asking me questions on certain situations or backstories. Now, I do like a good backstory, however, they can't always be the "main" focus of a plot. If you focus too much on every character's backstory, then the plot will weaken from having too much information all at once. It will become dull and stale, or at least that's my personal opinion.

Morty's Reset Backfire
A short story that draws you in like the first ten minutes of Up when they show their relationship over the years as they build a strong connection. One of the best love stories, even better than most that take several large books and long movies to display. Up made us fall in love and bawl right off the bat of the movie, making you wonder what the hell the rest of the story is going to entail.

Rick's Suicide Attempt
Almost every empathetic Rick and Morty fan shed tears in this scene. Not only does he show a side of himself that he hides and covers up so well, but he gives into it. He usually comes off as an unfeeling and careless man who can jump around without any attachments and without any regrets. After watching the show all the way through multiple times, I have come to notice more and more of his character traits that surpass the people who just watch the show assuming it has no deeper meanings and is unintelligent.

Creator's Creations
Creating is more than just writing words, painting a picture, or building something. Its a piece of the artist, its something that was within their heart and mind, something that was so strong it was begging to come alive. It pesters like a parasite, keeping us up at night until we create it through our imagination, our open-mindedness to make it work, and our hands to bring it to life.

Crippling Our Youth
I agree with this post for a variety of reasons. I'm sick of seeing parents encouraging their kids to dress and act like this at such a young age. They're not ready for that. They're too young to allow their emotions to be affected by likes, shares, reactions, etc. Social media has already caused a lot of mental health issues for thousands across the world, already from teens to college kids, to even some adults. Social media is great for staying connected, but its dangerous for anyone who is using it for purely for an emotional addiction.

A World Within
Shadows engulfed the horizon. A chill whispered through the air on the nightly breeze. Long ago, a peaceful place, now silent as the grave. Branches of dead trees creaked and groaned under a touch of bitter atmosphere. Negative energies took over it all. A light dusting of ash descended from above. An eruption in the distance, a final blow. A broken world, maybe merely one's perception, living a fake life in their decaying mind?
