Some time ago, in a little town in a distant land, there carried on with a youngster named Lily. She was a vagrant, compelled to reside with her awful auntie and uncle, who caused her to do all the family errands and gave her little to eat. In spite of her troublesome conditions, Lily had a good nature and a savage assurance to make a superior life for herself.
