Ms. Carter is not only a Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, but she is also the chairwoman of her own company Parkwood Entertainment and the creator of her own clothing brand IVY PARK. She is also the founder of her own philanthropic organization BEYGOOD, which was founded in 2013. She began her career in the 1990s as part of the Grammy-nominated girl group Destiny's Child, which hailed from her hometown of Houston, Texas, where she grew up.
